About Me

After completing a Bachelor of Arts in Communication (Public Communication) at the University of Technology Sydney and spending three years working in Public Relations, I am now completing my Master of Teaching (Primary) at the Australian Catholic University.
My teaching philosophy has been greatly influenced by my background, growing up in the Western Suburbs of Sydney and living a life full of cultural diversity and travel. I believe that 21st Century educators need to know how to actively engage students from all walks of life and create learning opportunities that encourage participation, independence and higher order thinking.
Teachers must allow students to play a lead role in their education by providing creative activities that cater for all types of learners, and by encouraging and guiding students along their learning journey. 21st Century teachers must be fluid in their teaching techniques, and teach in a way that promotes an open dialogue in the classroom.
